The Friday after Thanksgiving giving is an exciting day for shopping! Many Americans begin their Christmas shopping or plan to buy any big items like flat screen TV’s or digital cameras on this day for low, low prices. Bringing an unmanageable number of people from their homes the day after they just expressed how grateful they are for all they have.
It has been a tradition for families for years including my own. In the past years my sister and I have gotten up early making the first most important stop to Starbucks then off to Target where we'd join in line with all the other early risers waiting to burst in the door to buy an X-BOX or PlayStation for an incredibly low price. I go, never having money to buy anything but it's the excitement and the preparation for Christmas that makes the day an exciting tradition for many families.Be sure to buy a local paper on Thanksgiving Day. All the ad's for the sales on Friday will be advertised. This will help you decide if it's worth standing in line at 2 a.m. You can always check online to see if the sale will apply online between a certain time. Then you'll have us all beat, but miss out on all the excitement. Wear good walking shoes and be patient as people will be extra crazy on this day. :) Just try to enjoy the experience and ignore the people who have forgotten the joy of Christmas!
